ATTENTION – The Wheeling Jamboree has been moved to Brush Run Park for the summer (67140 Airport Road, St. Clairsville, OH 43950).  They have indoor and outdoor stages for any weather.  Check out the Wheeling Jamboree’s website (www.wheelingjamboree.org) for more information and future shows.  We apologize for any inconvenience and we hope you can still make it.

We won!  Well, we actually took 2nd, but we felt like we won! :) The points were so close – we were only 11 points from first place, out of 600 points possible!  For us that’s a big deal.  While at Silver Dollar City, we saw the Huntley Sisters (www.huntleysisters.com), who we’ve known for a long [...]

Red Barn Radio

April 29th, 2010

This was our third time playing on Red Barn Radio!  We played at LexArts which is an old YMCA gym that was turned into an arts and dance studio, and there are paintings and other art projects all over.  I decided this afternoon that I’m going to the Ohio State University — and I announced it [...]

Buckeye Valley Opry

April 18th, 2010

Hi everybody!  The opry was such a cool place — the concessions stand was in a trolley car!  The food was tasty and the crowd was really enthusiastic — something we always love to see :)  It was nice to see Dave and Wayne again, and to meet everybody there.

Espresso Yourself Music Cafe

April 16th, 2010

We always love to play at Espresso Yourself Music Cafe, and last night was no exception!  They have live music all the time — you can check their website at www.espressoyourselfmusiccafe.com.  The food is excellent and the fruit smoothies are SOOO good! :) Gary always orders a starving artist (lol) which is a type of cheese bread.  We’d [...]

RenoFest

March 27th, 2010

I can’t believe it!  We went to Hartsford, SC to participate in the RenoFest band competition.  We played last year and took third place, and were surprised then.  This year we took first :) and we were shocked!  The bands are always really good, and this year was no exception!  We played with Flat Out Bluegrass and and the [...]

Hi everybody!  It was great to be back in sunny Florida for the second time this month!  The weather was awesome — I got to wear short sleeves outside :)  We played thursday night at the restaurant and saturday in the tent, so we got to miss two days of school and go to Disney World [...]

Bluegrass in the Cornfields

March 6th, 2010

Wow!  What a great event!  Everyone was so nice and happy to see us!  We were glad to see our friend Vi, who was my dad’s neighbor when he lived in Coldwater :)  The soup was AMAZING! (and Gary always loves their hot apple cider).  To cap it all off, Gary turned 14 on stage at 9:14 pm, and the whole audience [...]

We just finished our show in Florida and are on our way home.  The shows were so much fun, and the people were SO nice! :)  It was a little rainy and chilly on Saturday, and everyone was apologizing about the weather, but we were happy it was above freezing!  Bad Florida weather is still [...]

SPBGMA

February 7th, 2010

Hi everybody! We had a GREAT weekend!  We participated in the band competition this year, and we won 9th place!  We were ecstatic just to make it to the second round, let alone finish!  It was very gratifying to see our hard work pay off, and it was worth every minute of it.  We spent [...]
